Princess Wears ‘Bling’ While Rock Climbing

Princess Kate and Prince William spend some time on a climbing wall recently.

Their ascent of the vertical wall with large holds was no different than the thousands of climbs that take place every day in gyms around the world.

Princess Kate, however, wore her $500,000 sapphire and diamond wedding ring while top-roping at Towers Residential Outdoor Education Centre in Capel Curig.

Mainstream media were quick to report about Kate and William with headlines like ‘Kate Middleton Goes Rock Climbing, Toys With Prince William’ and ‘The Adventurous Royals Go Rappelling.’

That has to be some sort of record for the most expensive thing worn while climbing. Many media outlets reported, “The vintage bling is worth half-a-million dollars.”
