Watch Canadians Hand-Holding Climb V2 in Bishop

Miles Adamson and Zach Watson are arguably two of Canada’s top climbers in their styles: highball bouldering and technical sport climbing.

Adamson recently sent this video over and noted, “Hey, Zach Watson and I did a Valentine’s Day partner climb where you hold hands and aid each other up.

“It was on a V2 highball called The Hunk, in Bishop.” The climb has a low crux, wanders up nice features until you’re high off the deck.

A partner-climb in bouldering is where you both climb the same route while holding hands. It became a viral sensation a few seasons ago and a number of videos can be found on Instagram under #partnerclimb.

Adamson and Watson established Boatswain last summer, a six-pitch 5.13+ on Grotto Mountain in the Rockies. More here.

Adamson is currently working through his tick-list of highballs in Bishop. Follow him on Instagram below.
