James Pearson Goes All-American for New 5.14R

James Pearson on Power Ranger Photo Pietro Porro

British climber James Pearson climbed a new 5.14bR last year at Sunset Rocks in Chattanooga.

Pearson jokingly went all-American with outfit and assent. In all seriousness, the climb is very committing and dangerous.

He called it Power Ranger and wrote on Instagram after his send, “The Power Ranger project at Sunset Rocks was the reason for our recent visit to the U.S.A.

“An incredible clean wall of perfect sandstone above Chattanooga, Tennesse, that is just so, so good. After a couple of weeks work I was able to capitalize on the good weather and make the first ascent of this magnificent line.”
