Watch Stu Smith send Battle of Evermore 5.14b in Squamish. The route was first climbed by Sonnie Trotter and has had a handful of repeats, including by Jamie Finlayson and Graham McGrenere.
Finlayson said, “The beginning of the route you climb completely upside down using double knee bars. Then you bust out onto the prow and use some aggressive heel hooks, pinches, slopers, and crimpers. It is kind of like hugging a fridge that is tilted to 60 degrees. Then you make an awesome dyno (jump) to a massive jug hold which is essentially the finish of the route.”
