Ascent New Brunswick’s Fourth Welsford Rendezvous
A number of top local climbers will be speaking at the event that will take place at the start of September 2019
The provincial climbing access group, Ascent New Brunswick, will be holding the fourth annual Welsford Rendezvous at Cochrane Lane Cliffs in Welsford on Sept. 7, 2019. This is a gathering of our community for a weekend of climbing and socializing at the province’s best crag. “We are very happy to have the original pioneer of climbing routes at Cochrane Lane,
Mr. Colin Bell, as our special guest speaker at the event,” said president Greg Hughes.
“Colin put up some uber classic routes at the cliff in a very bold style back before cams were around and paved the way for future generations. He also authored New Brunswick’s first climbing guidebook.”
On Sunday, Sept. 8, there will be a trail day where volunteers will be spending a day cleaning routes and doing some much needed trail maintenance. Full schedule and more here.
