Free Digital Ontario Guides for 2018 Beaver Valley Fest
The 2018 Beaver Valley Climbing Festival will be taking place from July 20 to 22 in Southern Ontario and the online guide ap rakkup is offering free digital guides.
There are free guides available for The Swamp, Devil’s Glen, Metcalfe and Old Baldy as well as four chances to win five free digital guides.
Rakkup recently introduced a leader board that allows climbers to track their ascents and compare their sends.
Whoever scores the most ascents at each crag (The Swamp, Metcalfe, Old Baldy and Devil’s Glen) on the leader board will get more free digital guides.

1. Download rakkup from Google Play or Apple App Store and create an account.
2. Select the desired Beaver Valley area guidebook from the Store.
3. Tap the Try it button on desired guidebook’s Store page.
The Beaver Valley Climbing Fest
Meet other climbers and potential climbing partners, and enjoy the food and entertainment. Never been to Devil’s Glen, Old Baldy, Metcalfe or The Swamp? Here is your chance to visit!
Your $44 festival ticket includes Friday night camping, Saturday dinner and evening festivities and Saturday night camping. PLEASE NOTE. NO SUNDAY BREAKFAST SERVED AT THIS YEAR’S FESTIVAL.
Saturday dinner and evening festivities start at 4:30 p.m. at the Rob Roy Dog Farm. Morning and evening yoga classes are included in the ticket as well. Clinics will be available by several of Ontario’s best guiding companies (additional fees) with offerings for a variety of skill levels.
Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. on the farm on Saturday. Those taking advantage of Friday night camping will just check in with one of our reps.
The 6th annual Beaver Valley Climbing Festival is supported by many sponsors each providing significant prizes. Special thanks this year goes to MEC for providing much-appreciated funding in support of the OAC.
As always, all festival proceeds help support the OAC’s efforts in securing and maintaining access to Ontario crags, to help you send your projects.
