The C.A.M.P. Antibott Hits Glaciers This Summer

One of the lesser talked about pieces off essential gear is the rarely seen antibott. This summer, C.A.M.P. is bringing it to the next level, which will give you better performance on glaciers and snow.

The new dynamic anti-balling plates will be pre-equipped on all crampons starting this summer.

The new plates are also compatible with all previous versions of our current range of mountaineering crampons: Stalker, XLC, XLC Nanotech, Tour Nanotech, Tour 350 and Race 290.

The dynamic material flexes while walking to actively clear snow and the non-stick surface helps prevent initial sticking.

The plates attach to the crampons with very secure and durable systems comprised of loops over the front points and metal plates and screws to lock them in the rear.

With a few dozen glacier-approach and glacier-to-the-summit climbs planned, we’ll be retro-fitting our C.A.M.P. crampons with these beauties this summer.

In the below video, Brett Merlin from CAMP USA explains the relationship between the CAMP and Cassin brands and how that relationship was developed. Shot at the 2014 Outdoor Retailer Winter show.
