Ondra Explains Why Boulder Problems are Like Parkour

Modern bouldering problems require climbers to make big and dynamic movements where their coordination is as important as how strong they are.

Adam Ondra recently said in an interview that the reason is that it’s easier to make a number of attempts on coordination problems versus very difficult technical problems. This is important when World Cups and comps only give the climber four minutes to send.

Watch Ondra talk about his training, rivalry, comps and more in the below video. Once again, his insights to the sport are very educational.
