Adam Ondra Finds a Canadian Project and Sends One

Adam Ondra is arguably the world’s best sport climber, with more hard sends than anyone else, so when he finds a project in Canada, you know it’s going to be hard.

On a small limestone cliff in the Canadian Rockies, Ondra has been projecting a short bolted line during past rainy few days.

“Found a dry project that is maybe not what I expected to find in Canada, it is short, almost vertical and very cruxy, but it has some of the most amazing moves I have seen,” he said.

“Gaston/high feet trickery at its best. I love it.” Ondra broke a small hold on the project which he said will make it even harder. How hard? I guess we’ll find out soon.

Closer to the highway, Ondra climbed another project, the Town of Canmore sign you pass when you enter the valley. Watch below.

Ondra is in Canmore to present at the Bow Valley Climbing Fest in two weeks.
