Adam Ondra and Jimmy Webb Climb Hard New Boulders
Adam Ondra’s outstanding year continues with more hard climbing at the limestone Holštejn in Czech Republic.
Last week, he made the first ascents of Drift V15 and Vrtule, which he graded V15/16. Watch the send in the video below.
He noted on social media after, “Poweful climbing on undercuts leading to this jump with a helicopter swing. Day 1 Could not do the moves. Day 2 Did all the moves. Day 3 Did it in two parts. Day 4 Sent it.”
Over in California, Jimmy Webb climbed his 14th V15 with the first ascent of The Outer Limits at Donner Summit.
The 18-move problem could be considered a highball as it climbs over 10 metres of hard climbing.
On Instagram, Webb noted, ” I spent many days figuring out beta, realizing the importance of conditions, and building the necessary fitness to succeed. It revolves around 18 moves of super powerful climbing to a campus rung edge just above the lip at around the 18 foot mark.”
