Adam Ondra Sends New 5.15a and 5.14d in Switzerland and Norway
According to 8a.nu, Adam Ondra has had a busy few weeks. He onsighted Barracuda 5.14c in Kaitersberg and Gimmel Express 5.14c in Grimmelwald. In Frankenjura, he sent Black Label 5.14d in less than half-an-hour. He made the first ascent of Hyper Finale 5.15a and Super Finale 5.14d in Rawl.
This week, while working on the world’s first possible 5.15d, he made the first ascent of Valhalla. On 8a.nu, he noted, “Odin’s Eye extension, all the way to the final rail of Thor’s Hammer. Incredibly massive pitch of ultra-tiring climbing, at least 65 metres. Possibly one of the harder 9as [5.14ds], but not 9a+ [5.15a].
