Cody Townsend Skis 46 of 50 Classic Lines, Calls it Quits

The pro skier who's been entertaining so many people for a long time with his YouTube videos has said that he's done, for now

Cody Townsend returns to the Bloody Couloir, a line that he skied over 20 years ago, located in the Eastern Sierra Mountains of California. The Bloody Couloir is one of 50 lines found in the book 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America.

“Joined by an all-star crew of friends and pros, this is the final line of The Fifty, so far,” Townsend said. “While there are still four lines to attempt, the end of the YouTube series is marked by the return to a classic couloir in classic style, with a load of friends and a little extra bit of walking.”

Also in the film are Elyse Saugstad, Josh Daiek, JT Holmes, Greg Lindsey, Michelle Parker, Ming Poon, Forrest Shearer, Brian Walker, Grayson Schaffer and Drew Pedersen.

“I’m not done with at least trying to ski all fifty, whether that’s going to be accomplished or not, is the question I continue to seek the answer to,” Townsend said. “When that day comes, you’ll all know as well. I can’t say when or where that’ll be, but one day this project will be capped off with something much bigger than a YouTube episode.”
