Lena Hermann is only 22, but her recent sent of Battle Cat 5.14c makes her the first German woman to send the grade and the first woman to climb anything that difficult in Frankenjura. She had sent a number of 5.14bs and had attempted Battle Cat last year, but was shut down by conditions. According to PlanetMountain.com, the last grade breakthrough for a female climbers was 15 years ago when Marietta Uhden sent Sonne im Herzen 5.14b.
