Graham McGrenere Sends Breakin’ the Law 5.14b in Utah

West Coast climber Graham McGrenere has been on an extended trip down south. Over the past few months, he has ticked a number of hard climbs, such as Manboy V11, All Dressed Up With Nowhere to Go 5.13d, Sniffing Glue 5.13c and now Breakin’ the Law 5.14b.

McGrenere said on his blog, “I had one goal in mind for our time in St George: A short and bouldery climb at the Black and Tan cliff called Breakin’ the Law. I don’t know what exactly drew me to this climb in particular, but it was all that was on my mind when we discussed our time in southern Utah.”

After his send, he wrote, “So excited to have been able to put this one together before we left. I tried this out last year but could only do a handful of the crux moves, let alone link any. A lot of work on it this year to figure out the moves and to start putting it together. Many, many attempts over about a dozen days.” Read his full blog here.

So mega psyched for Graham who sent his big project, Breakin' The Law (5.14b)!! ?? The game of projecting is intense and his battle with this one was no exception. Graham wrote about the mental process he went through with Breakin' The Law, and he's decided to share it. For a peek into his mind over the time he was working the route, check out his latest post on our blog (link in bio). • • • • #utah #utahisrad #climbing #rockclimbing #utahclimbing #blackandtan #noplacetoofar #organicclimbing #liveclimbrepeat #climbing_pictures_of_instagram #doyouclimb #climbingnation #grippedmagazine #climbmoja #happyclimbing #photofromarope #iloveclimbing #climbinglife #climbingisbliss #roadtrip #goodtimesoutside #retirement2017 @scarpana @organicclimbing
