Jamie Finlayson Repeats The Deputy V13 in Squamish

Jamie Finlayson is proving that sometimes the best bouldering conditions are in winter. Not a week into the new year and Finlayson has sent The Deputy V12/13.

The hard problem is next to I Shot the Sheriff, which Finlayson sent in December. The first ascent of The Deputy was by Jimmy Webb in 2014 and Finlayson believes he might have bagged the third ascent.

Early bird gets the worm. Conditions were prime this morning. It ended up being a lot warmer than forecasted, which was awesome. I managed to take down The Deputy. To me this problem seemed just as hard as its neighbour, I Shot The Sheriff. It was given V12 by Jimmy Webb, who did the FA, but I feel it's closer to V13 personally. 3rd ascent I think.
