Maya Madere Climbs 5.14 in California
Watch as she projects the steep granite route, teams up with Brette Harrington and makes the send
In a new film from The North Face, Maya Madere takes on her first project in Lake Tahoe with a 30-metre 5.14 called Weekend at Bernie’s. It was first climbed by Ethan Pringle and Joe Kinder back in 2013.
Also in the film, Madere teams up with big wall climber and alpinist Brette Harrington for a day out as part of the athlete development program from The North Face.
The program description reads: “Trailblazing athletes will get the opportunity to turn dreams into reality. Each athlete will get a two-year contract for the funding, gear, education and mentorship they need to accelerate their progress and reach the next level.”
