Netflix Casting Call for Tenzing Norgay Film

Jennifer Peedom, a BAFTA-nominated director, will be working on the film

The American-based streaming service Netflix is looking for lead actor for an upcoming feature movie based on the life of Tenzing Norgay Sherpa. Norgay was the first climber on the summit of Mount Everest in 1953 along with Sir Edmund Hillary.

BAFTA-nominated director, Jennifer Peedom who is recognized for notable documentaries like Sherpa and Mountain will direct the movie. According to the production team, Sherpa, Tibetan or Himalayan male aged between 25 to 40 years based in the U.K., New York or Nepal is eligible for the role.
