New Three-Pitch 5.13+ by Sasha DiGiulian

She established the steep all-bolted route with Lynn Hill in 2022, and redpointed it after her wedding this year

In 2022, Sasha DiGiulian and Lynn Hill teamed up to establish a new multi-pitch in Colorado’s Flitirons. After inspecting the line and getting a permit to bolt, they worked on the climb throughout the year.

DiGiulian had ruptured a finger pulley earlier in the year, which meant that she couldn’t really start to project the climb before last winter. Then at the start of this year, she sustained another injury. “I blew out my LCL on the final moves of the third pitch,” she said. After some rehab, her wedding and a book tour, she began working on the project this fall.

“Yesterday I completed the ground up first ascent of Queen Line,” DiGiulian announced online. “A three-pitch climb that consists of 250 feet of mostly 5.13+ incredible Flatirons climbing. Lynn is next to send, and I’m really excited to see everyone’s opinions of this majestic line we worked so hard to put up.”
