Nov 3, 2009 – Impressive Englekirk Ascents in Yosemite

During the week of October 16 – 21, Doug Englekirk bagged two significant ascents in Yosemite Valley. Engelkirk first set his sights on the Leaning Tower’s nine pitch Westie Face 5.13a/b, which he climbed after five attempts spread over three months. The next route on Englekirk’s tick list was Washington Column’s 15 pitch Quantum Mechanic which he sent on his second attempt. More details here.
