Over $4,000 in Bouldering Pads for Project

In a new clip, James Braithwaite breaks down the cost of pads in a recent video by Shawn Raboutou

The cost of bouldering pads can range from a few hundred dollars to well over $500, which can add up if you’re planning on investing in several.

One of the world’s best boulderers recently shared a video featuring one of the tallest stacks of pads that we’ve seen in a clip. Shawn Raboutou is currently projecting The Process, a V16 that recently had its first repeat by Zach Galla, nine years after the FA by Daniel Woods – read more about it here.

In Raboutou’s video, he’s working a move high off the ground using a top rope and pile of pads. Climber James Braithwaite took to his Instagram to break down the cost of the pads shown in the video and he came to a conclusion that there’s more than $4,000 USD worth of pads shown.
