Quinn Brett Makes Rare Send of Spaceshot in Zion

Earlier this spring, Quinn Brett sent the nine-pitch 5.13a Moab route called Spaceshot on Leaning Wall in Zion National Park.

With partner Max Barlerin belaying, Brett led and sent every pitch. It is likely the first female free ascent of the test-piece.

In 2005, Mike and Mark Anderson made the first ascent and a few years later Alex Honnol and Chris Weidner linked it with Moonlight Buttress 5.12+ in a day.

In 2013, Honnold and Tommy Caldwell climbed it, Moonlight Buttress, Touchstone Wall 5.13b and Sheer Lunacy 5.13b in a day.

Brett spent time on Spaceshot before her send, making a rope-solo of the sandstone line in April.
