Rockfall Near Camp 4 in Yosemite

During the first week of August, a number of large rockfall events were heard and witnesses near Camp 4 in Yosemite. The National Park Service has told people to avoid the Valley Loop Trail from near Camp 4 to North Side Drive. This includes the Good Book boulder, Titanic Boulders and routes on Camp 4 Wall. Caution is advised to climbers in the area.

This morning there were two rockfalls above Camp 4 in Yosemite. Pretty crazy! The air was thick with granite dust and the cloud drifted through camp a minute after the second fall.
