Sean Burch to Explore Himalayas for Unclimbed Mountains

In 2010, Sean Burch traversed the 2,000-kilometre Great Himalaya Trail in a then-record 49 days, six hours and eight minutes. In 2014, made the first ascents of 23 mountains in Mongolia. In October, Burch will be heading to Chandi and Gorakh Himal in Western Nepal, an area known as the Hidden Himalaya. He has partnered the Nepal Trust to raise funds for women and child healthcare.

Burch has the world record for fastest ascent of Mount Fuji at four hours and five minutes; world record for most first ascents in Tibet with 63 summits in 23 days; world record for fastest time up Mount Kilimanjaro at five hours and 28 minutes. Burch has 14 first ascent in Greenland and has climbed Aconcagua, Everest and Shishapangma.
