The famous German climber Kurt Albert was seriously injured yesterday after falling 18 m while climbing a via ferrata in Germany.

The famous German climber Kurt Albert was seriously injured yesterday after falling 18 m while climbing a via ferrata in Germany. Albert  has pioneered numerous standard-setting rock and alpine climbs and is credited with introducing the notion of redpointing in 1975 when he began painting red dots on the base of routes he had redpointed in Frankenjura.
