Taylor McNeill Sends New V14 in North Carolina
After making the second ascent of Jimmy Webb’s hard line Engine Bloc V14 at Boone, North Carolina, Taylor McNeill fired off the first ascent of an old project. He sent one of the biggest roofs at the famous bouldering area with his tick of Third Eye Awakening V14.
After his send, he wrote on Instagram, “Everything seems to be falling into place this past week. After nine or so days effort, I made the first ascent of the Third Eye proj. One the most beautiful roofs I’ve ever done and it climbs just as good as it looks.
This line fits my style very well, and still feels right at the cusp of what I’m capable of doing. I don’t have a lot of experience with the grade, but I think this is what V14 feels like. Unbelievably stoked to have put up another five-star line in the high country.” Click on the clip below to watch the send.
