New Calgary Bouldering Gym Called Bolder Opens in April 2017

Josh Muller, Zak McGurk and Craig Doram are opening a new climbing gym in Calgary built specifically for boulderers. “We have been working tirelessly for month to make this dream a reality,” said Muller. “Join the Bolder community and get stoked.”

Muller has long been one of Canada’s leading boulderers with sends of a number of V14s, including King of Limbs in Rocklands and Esperanza at Hueco. McGurk was a leading comp climber in Alberta for most of his youth and has climbed up to 5.14c. Doram has a background in comp climbing and has climbed up to 5.13d.
The new Bolder gym will be the only gym in from Calgary to Banff to is designed specifically for bouldering. Other successful bouldering gyms in Canada include Bloc Shop in Montreal, Seven Bays in Nova Scotia, Up the Bloc in Mississauga and The Hive in Vancouver.
