New Grivel Dark Machine and Machine X Ice Tools
Gripped is at the Ourdoor Retailer trade show in Denver and got to check out the North America debut of Grivel’s new tools. Grivel has made radical changes to their ice tool handles for fall 2019 and ice climbers are going to be talking about these for years.
The Dark Machine is a technical tool that comes in at only 470 grams with a high balance point. The shaft is a G-bone carbon-composite and the handle is full carbon. This is Grivel’s new all-round ice tool.
The Dark Machine X is made for steep ice and drytooling, comes in a 480 grams and has the same shaft and carbon-composite handle as the Dark Machine. More to come!
