Stefano Ghisolfi Sends Another 5.15b with Queen Line

Italian climber Stefano Ghisolfi has repeated Adam Ondra’s The Queen Line 5.15b in Arco for his sixth send of the grade. Ghisolfi reported, “Totally unexpectedly, I did the second ascent of the hardest route in Italy and very first 9b [5.15b] of Arco, The Queen Line, climbed for the first time by Ondra and bolted by Mauro Mabboni.

“I was very close to falling in every part of the route, even when the hardest section was over, and I had to give my 100% to complete the climb. The route is slightly harder then the other 9b’s I climbed, so it’s the second hardest route for me just after Perfecto Mundo 5.15b/c.”

Last year, he was runner up in the Lead World Cup and has said that he’s hoping to make it into the Olympics. Ghisolfi has sent nine 5.15a sport rotues, five 5.15b and one 5.15c. See his list of sends on 8a.nu here.
