Stefano Ghisolfi’s First Repeat of 5.15b Variation to Silence

The top Italian climber also found new beta to the world's hardest sport route - watch below

Stefano Ghisolfi has made the first repeat of Move Hard 5.15b at Flatanger, Norway, which was opened by Adam Ondra. Move Hard starts up Move 5and heads into the second crux of Silence 5.15d, which Ghisolfi has been projecting.

“On these last days I focused more on Move Hard,” Ghisolfi said before leaving Flatanger where he visited for a month, “and as always happens in these trips, last day is the best day, and I managed to grab the second ascent of my side project Move Hard.”

On Sept. 3, 2017, Ondra made history when he made the first ascent of Silence, and in the past five years only a few climbers have tried it. Ghisolfi travelled back to Norway to project Silence this August. Two years ago, he made the second ascent of Change 5.15c, another of Ondra’s first ascents. And last year, he repeated and downgraded Alex Megos’s Bibliographie from 5.15d to 5.15c.

Ghisolfi has left Flatanger for the time being, but managed to figure out new beta for the first crux  of Silence – a V15 boulder problem, which you can watch below.
