Watch Adam Ondra Link Cruxes on Possible 5.15d

Adam Ondra is working on a 5.15d project in Flatanger where he recently linked a 5.15b section through some cruxes on the climb he is calling Project Hard.

Ondra has been working on the route for a number of weeks this year and started the project a few seasons ago.

If Ondra sends and confirms the grade, it will be the world’s first 5.15d or harder. Ondra has climbed over 150 routes more difficult than 5.14d.

One day in, one day out. Success does not come every day. But staying positive and finding the right reasons to stay positive while working on a project is the key. Crux 2 (font 8B) on Project Hard was quite dry today, good enough to run a few laps on it. It involves this heinously high left foot and going far right into the gaston off left hand undercling. The foothold tends to slip a lot, making my knee spilling some blood on the wall. Not too aesthetic, I am sorry.
