Free Solo Parody is Perfect in So Many Ways

This Free Solo parody trailer is almost a scene for scene take on the original featuring Alex Honnold.

In this trailer called Expensive Membership, Nick Garnham Wright becomes the Honnold of gym climbing. But instead of free soloing Freerider, Wright is trying to climb a V7.

From the bacteria on the walls and cuts on the arm to facing the climbing world with a film about gym climbing, Wright does it right. “Gyms are pretty much the armpit of the climbing universe.”

I wanted to post something scary for Halloween – this was the best I could find on my phone. The opening move of the Boulder Problem on Freerider – courtesy of the remote cameras for @freesolofilm. Free Solo is still showing in hundreds of theaters across the country. It should open in Europe sometime in the next month or so. UK in December I think. It’s been a pretty wild ride so far.
