Paul Robinson: Is Air Wolf the Best Boulder Problem?

Paul Robinson recently visited Indian Creek and repeated the 20-foot tall Air Wolf near Sparks Wall that was first climbed by Tom Moulin over a decade ago. Moulin is the author of the Southern Nevada Bouldering Guide.

Robinson uploaded a video on YouTube titled “The BEST Boulder in the World??!!” and describes it as: “This climb definitely lived up to its expectations and way more. It was even taller than I had expected. The crux is high and the moves are technical and airy.”

Air Wolf is also called Best in Show and has been climbed a number of times. The problem goes up a fridge-width steep prow that overhangs near the top. To get off requires a tricky compression down climb on the backside. The grade varies from V5 to V6, but is certainly a highball so bring a number of pads. Watch Robinson on the steep line below.
