A David Lama Project Was Just Sent at 5.15a, See Adam Ondra Climb It

The climb sat as a project for years and was opened in 2022

Top climbers Adam Ondra and Stefano Ghisolfi recently visited Arco to attempt new and old routes. At the hard-to-reach-crag of Bus de la Stria, they try a climb bolted by the late David Lama and recently freed by Gabriele Moroni. It’s called Trofeo Dell’Adriatico and is graded 5.15a. Watch as Adam Ondra finds a locker knee-bar high on the climb.

“Climbing together with someone is always motivating, and if this someone is Adam Ondra is even better,” said Ghisolfi. “We tried a couple of new routes in Arco during the last days, and this video is the result.”

As the only climber to climb 5.15d and the first to flash 5.15a, Ondra is the most prolific outdoor climber of all time. Ghisolfi is one of the most accomplished 5.15 climbers to date, with hard sends including First Round First Minute 5.15b, Perfecto Mundo 5.15c, Change 5.15c and Bibliographie 5.15c. In 2021 he famously downgraded Alex Megos’s Bibliographie 5.15d to 5.15c, which Megos agreed with.
