Big Ice Climbing Dynos at World Championships 2022

The finals routes were some of the longest and most demanding pitches ever set in the event

The Ice Climbing World Championships is the biggest event of the season with athletes competing for the coveted gold medal. With huge dynos, terrifying falls and triumphant moments, see who came out on top.

With the news that the Ice Climbing World Cups won’t be taking place in Russia this month, the 2021/2022 tour is officially over. Canada’s only competitor at any international event this year was Gord McArthur, who had several top-five finishes, but finished 43rd at the world championships.

McArthur said he’s unsure whether he’ll return to the world tour next winter and is surprised that there aren’t more Canadians who want to compete.
