Mina Leslie-Wujastyk Talks Motherhood and Climbing in Mama and Me

One of the U.K.'s most experienced climbers reflects on the past few years and what's ahead

Mina Leslie-Wujastyk has long been a leading climber in the U.K., with several bold trad leads, tall highball sends and top-10 finishes at the bouldering world cups.

Among her many achievements, she has climbed several 5.14+ sport routes, including Mecca Extension, Bat Route, Nordic Plumber, and Raining Bats and Dogs. She repeated Pursuit of Happiness V13 in South Africa, and made the first female ascent of Careless Torque, a V11 highball on gritstone in the U.K. In Malham Cove, she climbed the classic Totally Free, a 70-metre 5.13d first climbed by John Dunne in 1988.

So, what do motherhood and climbing have in common? Challenges you can’t predict and joy you wouldn’t trade for anything. Join Leslie-Wujastyk in a new film called Mama and Me, as she shares the ups and downs of climbing and raising a family. Watch below.
