Only Adam Ondra and a Priest Have Climbed This Urban Boulder

This V13 concrete problem follows a vertical line that gets more difficult after a paint job

Adam Ondra recently joined YouTube star and 5.15 climber Magnus Midtbo for a number of online videos, with the most recent (and their last together) focusing on an urban V13 boulder problem.

Ondra had shared a video of this problem before, describing it as the “best boulder ever built.” The problem climbs an arête and is called Exhumace. It’s found on an underpass near Brno in the Czech Republic. It was first climbed by a priest named Ivo David 20 years ago, and was net repeated until Ondra topped it out.

In 1899, an urban climbing guidebook to the University of Cambridge in England by Geoffrey Winthrop Young was published. Ever since then, urban climbing has been popular.

Watch Ondra attempt two techniques in the first video, as well as talk about the history of the problem, and send in the second.
