Watch Winter Ascent of Classic Rock in Dolomites

Winter ascents in the Dolomites are nothing new, many cold climbs of summer routes have been made over the decades.

In this video, French climbers Leo Billon, Ben Vedrines and Max Bonniot team up to climb The Solleder/Lettenbauer up the northwest face of Civetta.

The 1,200-metre route was first climbed in 1925 in one day by Emil Solleder and Gustav Lettenbauer. Watch the climb below.
